New Arrival: 88 Plymouth AHB 4bbl
« on: October 07, 2017, 16:54:51 »

I needed another car like I need another hole in my head..........but I was really nervous this M was going to end up a scrap car.

Just purchased it from IAAI.com auction, it was a donated car.

Transporter delivered it from VA to NYC in one day...........

The car looks worse than it is , but it is pretty straight, with very little rust......... two dents, 1 small dent on the roof, a good sanding, and a PW7 white (the factory original color) paint job will do wonders for this former Colonial Heights VA police car. Will meed a new fiberglass front end panel...

Came with brand new hankook tires, brand new A/C compressor, whoever had it, somewhat maintained it.

Still has the driver's side spot light hole on the inside, and two holes for the lolli pop deck lights......

I am in Queens, but for the time being, she is going up state for storage for now. With winter coming, not much I can start doing without being able to finish it.

Very nice. You planning on making any modifications?

Nothing planned yet. I bought it on a whim because I just felt it was going to just go to a scrapper. But I do see a strip down repaint in it;s original white, and just put back together as a plain white AHB. When?? I don't know, have so many projects planned.

I know we're all car fanatics, but just in case someone outside that scope were to stumble across this thread, could you please share the thought process behind buying a car you don't need in order to save it from being scrapped?  After all, it's just an old car, not a living thing.  Spouses may be particularly interested in the answer (lol).
