Hello... Just wanted  to take a second to introduce myself... To be perfectly honest I'm waiting as either today or tomorrow my new 87 Dodge Dip arrives to me from Virginia...! I can hardly think of anything else !!!!

The long story is I have been searching for one for a while, almost bought one that I fell in love with from Alabama...But it fell through. It was from a dealership and they weren't willing to negotiate at all. They wanted way to much for one with 137,000 miles. I was polite about it, they weren't.

But everything happens for a reason. I scourred Craigs List and found one in Virginia...GET THIS... 56,000 original miles. Very nice man inherited it from his father. We struck up a great relationship over the phone. It got shipped out on saturday and I'm awaiting its delivery....!

Love the website...Plan to participate alot. Great info you have. Stay tuned pictures to come. Looking foward to meeting some new friends....!

You've found the right place. If it can be done to a Diplomat, someone here has done it and done it right. Lots of VERY knowledgeable curmudgeons here. Also, we support each other in this fanatical obsession with the redheaded stepchild that is the M-body.

Well today is the day... Got a call it was coming this afternoon ! I guess the transport truck is 85 feet long, so he wont be able to come to the house. We agreed to meet at the mall. I have a plate I can throw on it to get home, hopefully local PD will be busy
.
I find I feel a little weird about getting so excited, but belonging to this club and knowing I'm not the only one who likes these kinda cars make me feel a little more normal.

I love to quote movies so like Marisa Tomei said in My Cousin Vinny... "Yeah, you blend"...

I remember waiting on a Jeep to be delivered, that was coming via transport.  I expected to see it dropped at the house during the day, while I was away at work.  I arrived home that night, and found no Jeep.  The carrier called, and said they were delayed by traffic, but were still planning on arriving by early evening.  They finally showed up at 8:30PM.  It was dark.  It was kind of disappointing to not be able to really see my new treasure very well.
