What staute allows a Tx commissioned officer to have a car with Miami Police decals?
But your only going to do that if your dept didnt have M-Bodies back in the day right?

I haven't found a statute for it...yet. It would be for emergency equipment not necessarily for the decals. The decals would most likely be covered or removable...

I haven't made the final decision.

I don't think you can legally drive the car all done up like that. A lot of people with cars like that use magnetic decals that you can just pull off when you're not showing the car. Or if they only have the car for that purpose and never use it otherwise they cover up the decals when they're not showing it.

Even being a cop you probably can't have the lights unless your department is taking responsibility of you using your own personal car for emergency use. If they aren't then the lights would still be iffy, but it would probably still be easier for you to get away with it. You could always just take the lights off or cover them up.

The final say so would be my agency. I would have no issues with covering up or equipping magnetic decals.

Worse case scenario ill just paint it blue....a better blue than it already is painted.

The whole point would be to have it and maybe take it to shows here and there.

 I've always wanted a marked M body.

Just last year I was at a car show and a guy showed up with a 69 Coronet with full markings
He had magnets over the markings and the siren disabled when he pulled in.
Took off the magnets and plugged in the siren and voila...
I'm guessing even in Nazi Ontario...that was legal.

I had an idea. How difficult would it be to find a factory cruise control and install it?
