McKutzy- 87 5th ave.....
« on: September 07, 2013, 22:59:59 »

Hey guys, Just showing off the new(to me) ride.
'87 5th ave. Originally from California. White w/burgundy Int. No rust pretty much anywhere.  All the engine pic and most of the nooks are just dirty.
It has a few plastic trim bits by the doors that have been really eaten by the sun, UV damage.
The seats are really comfortable. They are that nice leather, although with a few bit of cracking, still good. The misses and I got into a car accident a few months ago, got rear ended(hence the new 5th), so these chairs are really nice on our backs.
I didnt have enough time to shoot the interior, ill do that another day but all the same as others out there.

Ya thanks.  I did notice that there is a whole bunch of places where water flows and some that traps some crap.
Like, up in the wiper linkage area. There seem to have a lots of pine needles jammed up there. I see there is a little rubber flap, Im guessing that keeps stuff going into that area. but not out????

Wow!
 Looks like a real sweetie!!
That must turn some heads...not sure how many of those are roaming the streets out there

As far as the rubber flaps...
Yep they let the water run out...just make sure those passages are free of crap.

Sweet ride!

Around my area, ther isnt many of the M bodies left.  last week I saw some kid and chick driving a silver one in passing. Waved to say hey.. ya know repesent... Him and the girl were like giving us the stink eye and general additude like who the hell are you.
Damn kids these days..... hahah I can say that now.
I will say definatly not a pretty car he was driving. bad shape with a lot of rust on the bottom trim panels.
oh well...
I do however see a fare number of the FWD models, of varing states of repair.

So what color is it called. On a LX It would be called cool vanila, I call it that, but just wondering what it was called back in the day?

If your paint code is FW9 on your fender tag it would be Olympic White

Nice looking car!
If it's the white that's in the first pictures it was called bright white but the names changed from time to time.

I took a long look around on the net. Found out what the code is and it is PW9, which is Olympic White. It was also cool to look at all the other codes are and what they stand for on the body tag.

Wow thats alot. thanks. I did look at those codes for my tag. pretty interesting though. Looks like all that hasnt been modified and pretty much the way it was.

One code I have not too understanding of it is,  ADB - Protection Group.  as it lists.
Am I understanding of this that it is "up armored" or something like that.   Can someone shed some light on that?

Nice car, welcome to the world of Ms.  I'll second on cleaning the crud out behind the flaps on the firewall.  Should be three of them.
