Introducing '77 LeBaron coupe, "Ruby"
« on: January 03, 2015, 09:44:38 »

Hello, all, from Detroit! I am a newcomer to M bodies but not Mopar.  I am a Registered Nurse and certified Mopar nut, courtesy of my upbringing as a Chryco designer's son (my father worked under Exner). This is "Ruby," whom I found last fall.

Though the pix say 2008, they are in fact from 2014.  Just a wrong setting on camera.  I believe the PO's claim that its 18.7K showing miles is accurate.  It was used for decades as a summer cabin vehicle.  Since getting it in October, I have put a new radiator and rebuilt head gasket in, among other things.  The long inactivity had produced a few leaks and dried out hoses/belts.  Those were squared away as well, and she runs like a champ!

Where did you find a "rebuilt head gasket"?
I have been searching for one of those

Welcome to the crowd!  What a beautiful young woman you have on your arm.  She does appear to be every bit the belle of the ball that you describe.

I have long contended that there is some interesting historical Chrysler iron stashed in neighbourhood garages, in the suburbs of Detroit.  These cars left the factory, and were treasured by mid level executives who now are departing, and these cars are finally seeing the light of day.  My own Darth Car came out of Detroit, and is a fine specimen for an 82.

I thought you were getting rid of it?

I remember the original ad, but can't seem to find it here.
Usually I'm good at finding them again.
