Are you still going after an M that handles decently?  I would look at doing a big block build based on a 400 block.  The 383 and 400 blocks have a lower deck height than the 413 and 440 blocks, weigh about 40lbs less and are beefier on the bottom end.  Whenever I get around to actually starting the build I plan on using a 512ci kit from 440 Source.


I would really recommend tossing the torsion bars too.  You won't believe the difference a pair of 300# bars from Firm Feel makes.

That's about what I plan on doing, so I'm following your project along as you go.  The main difference for mine is I'm gonna be looking at different steering racks to see what might match up with the M-'s frame rails.
