What rear spoiler are you looking for?  Earlier 1 piece or the later (1978 and up I think) 3 piece?
I like the later 3 piece one.

I am still up in the air on that one.
I like both, I guess its what ever shows up first.

So the one piece is the early spolier,
and the 3 piece is the later spolier?

I would guess the 3 piece would be the correct one for a 80
model.

I think one piece rear spoiler and vertical side window Louvre were 1976-1977 and the 3 piece rear spoiler was 1978-1980 and horizontal side louvers were 1978-1979.
That excludes the 1978 kit car spoiler which was unique.

I guess it wont be correct to the year then.
I really want the vertical louvers,
and have already found the one piece spoiler.

Its still early on the build, so I will wait and see what shows up.
I'm checking Volare and Aspen adds daily.
Theres a rust bucket up north with everything I need.
It would have to be 1,000 miles away. :pound:

Priority right now is finding a 80 rear bumper filler.

by 1980, all the good stuff was gone.  Road Runner and R/T  got you a rear spoiler and some nameplates, no flares or louvers.  It was kind of sad.  However the 80 Sport Wagon still got the wheel flares.

I guess that it will just be a mixture of things from different years,
to build the kind of F I want.

It wont be a numbers matching car anyway.
The 80 is the lease desirable of all the Fs.

Even though it wont be any kind of collectors item like the RR or RT,
It will still be a cool looking ,great running car.

Yep and it looks like you found a great car to start from.  That's not always easy.
I liked the 1980s.  I only ever had 2 F bodies, a 1979 Volare Duster and a 1980 Road Runner.

My 3 former Fs were:
a 77 Aspen R/T 318 4 Speed,
78 Volare Premiere 318 Auto.
and a 78 Road Runner 318 Auto.

All had Buckets and the bottom 2 had Consoles.

I put a 340/727 in the Volare Premiere.

I have fond memories of all 3

Scored these today for 150.00 with good tires.

I dont know if you could get these on a 80 Volare Coupe or not.
I know they were available for my 80 Lebaron Coupe.

Even if they didn't offer them on the F,
They sure will look good on it.
If not I also scored a set of slotted police wheels with caps.

  Ones missing a center cap, just like the last set I bought.
I now have 2 sets of these + 2 spares.

No those weren't offered on F bodies but they will fit fine and should look good.
The only 15" wheels from the factory on F bodies were on the cop cars, the Super Coupes and the Kit Cars.

Thanks Mark

May just put the cop wheels on the Duster,
and the 10 spoke on the Diplomat Coupe.

The paint looks like it could buff out.
So I'm thinking of a Black and Tan look for now.
Satin Black Cop wheels, window and wheel flares, front and rear spoilers.
and dye/paint the faded interior pieces black.

First up is the V8 Swap.

As I'm pulling the 318 and trans out of the 87 Diplomat,
the excellent front clip will be going on the Diplomat Coupe.

Before I can do that, I will be dropping the V8 K-Frame from the 85 Dip with no engine.
Clean and paint install new ball joints, tie rods and bushings while its out.
I even have a new set of 10"rotors that could go on the new front end.

I bought them for my Lebaron then upgraded to 11.75s and never used the 10s.

Actually my 77 had factory steel wheels with hub caps that were 15's.  I thought it was cool to be able to buy "standard" size tires.

Yeah, The 14s that were on most of these cars was too small.
I guess they had to use up all those A-Body rims lying around. :w00t:

The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards the AHB wheels for this.

The 10 spoke would be more correct on the 80 Diplomat Coupe.
That would make 2 coupes with these wheels and one with 5 on 5 spoke.

I like the way this 80 Volare Coupe looks.
Except for the keystones.
