318 that is 30 over eagle 4 inch crank and there rods KB step dish pistons and whiplash cam 360 heads

Brakes still need some work. Water leak is back have to fix that and replace the tac that failed

Need better gears so plan is to go hunting for a.ford 9 inch in few weeks the reason for the ford 9 is so gears chunks are comparable with other shop projects

The ford ones I've seen all seem to have lower gears than I want.
Do like the idea that the '02 and later ones are irs and have discs.

Can't use IRS not willing to do that much fab work the 9 is cheap to add disk brakes to using the gm metric calipers there is a weld on bracket

There is a LOT that comes into play when playing with boost.  The motor should really have been built with it in mind if you didn't already plan for it.

- What static compression are you running?
- Is your rotating assembly forged or cast?
- Stock main caps?  Bolts or studs?
- Still running iron heads?

I see the kit doesn't come with provisions for an intercooler.  This is going to limit the amount of boost you can run before hitting detonation problems.

Even if all of the above is kosher you're still faced with the fact that the block itself can really only handle 500HP.  I gave this a lot of thought prior to making the decision to going big block.  Now that you've already built a stoker I would put the money into a set of CNC ported Edelbrock heads.
