Here's an original concept in visual
design. The owner of this Gran Fury painted his white ex-cop squad
with black spots, dalmation style, and labeled the rear quarter panel
"K-9 UNIT". This probably wins a prize for one of the most
imaginative and unusual paint schemes.

Jason Shafer passed along these pictures of his 1986 Plymouth
Gran Fury Police Package, and writes "The background is the
Mississippi River and the Illinois shore. These were taken at Cape Rock
Park in Cape Girardeau, MO (ironically, the actual Cape Rock was destroyed
so that the railroad tracks also seen could be built). The river is down
extremely low as the sandbars are rarely seen."

Hi, I am Joe Coyle aka Joe Toronto. I lovingly restored this Plymouth
last year over a span of 6 months 2 years ago. After much blood sweat and tears, here is the final result. This is a 1988
civilian Plymouth Caravelle and used to be our family car. My parents were going to get
rid of it because it was covered with rust. It even had holes in the front fenders and on the rear quarters. The doors were in bad shape as
well. I just wish I had taken before pictures, so you could appreciate the level of decay that the car was in. 4 things convinced me to fix
her up and keep her for myself. The engine ran great, the salon interior was absolutely spotless, the
undercarriage is rust and rot free, and I love the way she drives. You know what I mean. I could
only find Fifth Avenue fenders in good condition so I installed them, giving the car its unique look. The rear windows are tinted as dark as
possible and the driver and passenger windows are tinted as dark as the law permits. I found the cop rims in a scrap yard. They were very
rusty so I got them sandblasted and painted the same color as the car. Tire sizes are 60 series P245 15" on the rear and 60 series P225 15" on
the front. Now that the exterior is taken care of, I hope to eventually spruce up the engine. I hope to one day have duel exhaust and a 360ci
engine with a 4bbl carb. As for our cruel Canadian winters, never fear, I store this Plymouth every winter and it
receives twice yearly anti-rust hot oil treatment from Krown. (Note: The paint is flawless,
any imperfections are actually dust on the picture when I scanned it)
