My jaw about dropped off my face when these pictures showed up at my doorstep.  I tell you, that Tom Adams guy has a knack for either owning or accidentally running across some of the most noteworthy "M" bodies in the country.  Behold an early-80's Plymouth Gran Fury with the Lincoln Park (MI) Police Department.  This car has features I've never before seen on a squad actually in service, and in many cases never seen on a restored show squad, either.  Dig the scoop on the hood, tach mounted on the dash, Edge 9000 lightbar, hand painted lettering all over the car, chrome pushbars, aftermarket sport wheels.  Truly, as the hood scoop says in the same hand-painted lettering, this car is "radio active"!  Below are Tom's own words:

Here are some pics I took 2 weeks ago in Lincoln Park in front of a business on Southfield Rd. here in MI. I was out for lunch, and couldn't believe my eyes!! I was not in my car, so I came back the next day, Aug. 11th after renewing $191.00 worth of license plates (12th was b-day) The only information the people at the business had was that it was a LPPD car still and that I could take all the pictures I liked. Here are the best ones. I can't remember exactly what the mileage was, I think it was 55k or 53k on the odometer. I don't care for the chrome aftermarket wheels, but the chromed push bars are trick and the car was spotless inside and out. I don't know what year Gran Fury it was; although the steering wheel says 82, maybe used still in 83?? I want to try to get a hold of the LPPD and see what I can find out. If they ever sell that car, I want it!!

One word:  Droool!
