I wish I knew who sent these photos of a
special drag-racing Plymouth Caravelle wagon, but all I still had to put
up was the attached description:
Car description: Plymouth Caravelle 1981
wagon, born with 6 cylinder engine, base equipment white exterior, red interior. Fitted
with 400 block stroked to 493 c.i.,ported 452 head 2.25 intake valves 1.81 exhaust
valves, Weiand tunnel ram with twin Carter ThermoQuad, Comp cam roller 308
br, Meziere electric water pump, Ross piston, Eagle 6.8,custom crank.
Chrome box ignition, Mallory 250 gph electric fuel pump.727 tranny,with:2.77 low gear,4500 TurboAction
converter, SCS shifter, reverse valve body.3.55 Dana 60 rear end. Now it is painted 73 B9 blue with a la 71 duster black out
treatment. Interior trim dash and seat have been tint in black. Genuine am fm cd cassette radio with Power Acoustic
amplifier, a pair of 6JL audio in front doors and sub woofer to come.
It is daily driven on summer, drag raced on week ends. Best performance is 10.79 e.t. 124.5
mph, not bad for a 3800# racing weight.
