Nightwatch Blue?
« on: April 25, 2021, 15:56:55 »

So, I’ve got my color choices whittled down to 3 for when I (eventually) go to paint the car.

1) Jazz Blue (new Challenger until ‘18)
2) Jetset Blue (Jeep Renegade)
3) Nightwatch Blue

I haven’t seen an M- in Nightwatch Blue in ages, and forgot how dark it’s supposed to be. Does anybody here have one in that color?

same, I was wanting Midnight Blue since Remy sent me a couple pictures of Warhammer from way back.

So, I've got it down to those colors in the original post.

That is the colour I wish I could have done my coupe in...alas, that dark will show even the tiniest body finish flaw...so while it looks great, as with all dark colours you need to make sure everthing else is up to it.

But...your search for excellence (yes, LOL, blatant bias here on my part) has caused me to deep-dive into my stack of Dealer Brochures...and I knew that there was a 1980 Diplomat booklet which had the coupe in that colour...indeed, I found it!

Take a look at the attached scans. I have the much higher res originals here, email me if you want them. Anyways, I did finish the interior of my coupe if dark blue, the closest match I could find at that time to the factory stuff...let me know if you want to see a few pics.

This color is great on my 1980 Diplomat, highly recommended if you still haven't chosen.  Check out my Diplomat in the showroom. https://www.dippy.org/forum2/index.php?topic=10934.0

I finally got around to looking at that. It looks fantastic. It'll still be a coin flip when I eventually get to that point though.  I'm going to get all the mechanicals done first with this thing.
