I knew it was going down hill when they came out with a 4 door Charger.
And now a truck is a Ram instead of a Dodge Ram.

Not all years. 2005-2008 only had the ram head and no Dodge anywhere. It seems 2009+ had the head only and that one with Dodge added to it depending on year.

That's My point, They fazed out Dodge on the Rams all together.

I was getting at they already did it 14 years ago not just now. A 2005 doesn't say Dodge anywhere. Altho I didn't know the Dodge came back at some point like your pic showed.

2010 was when Ram officially split and became its own division apart from Dodge. They used excuses such as they needed different marketing approaches and different styling and they wanted to separate financials so they needed to separate. Those excuses were likely just in case they wanted to sell or shut down Dodge.

Hey I never said it was 2005, I said that's when they stopped putting  Dodge on the trucks themselves

But being in 2010 explains why some 2009+ trucks have the Ram head logo with Dodge added to it and others don't.

But forget about all this I'm still waiting for them to bring back Fargo

I did notice I was wrong it does say Dodge under the hood.

The odd part is some of those Ram emblems  say Dodge in small letters above them and some don't. The Magnum and Caliber (and probably others) also had them with and without Dodge IDs .

Yeah I didn't even know that about the emblem saying Dodge until the picture of the red one above. 05-08 Rams don't have it at all and 2009+ is hit and miss so I'm thinking maybe they added it with the redesign for 2009 and then it disappeared again in 2010 when it was dropped for good?

At the other end of the scale 1981 was the first year to say Ram anywhere, but 1980 had ram stickers on the fenders. Don't see too many with them still on there anymore tho.

I didn't think you did, I only said it's not a 2005. I know it's not because they didn't have the Dodge logo on the back LOL. Look at the links in my last post or do your own search for 2005 Rams for sale. Or check the PDF of the brochure. Ram head emblem under the release handle and no dodge.

Between the Volare thread and this one it's been the busiest the forum has been in months!
