going by the reviews left for that thing on eBay, I'd probably stay away from it.

Has anyone ever used the King Auto Parts Electronic distributor for their Fifth Avenues? It's listed as having a built in ECU, vacuum and adjustable advance...states easy one wire for power and hook up to coil. here's a link of the distributor that's listed on ebay.             Small Block Mopar Dodge Chrysler 318 340 360 Complete Electronic Distributor HEI | eBay

thanks I've been lurking a little lately, just approved a bunch of memebers and deleted a bunch of spammers; hope to get back to normal viewing happening on the forums soon hopefully it doesn't just disappear!

I can't open the fmj post but he detailed the progress here too.
I've had the caps off before there's no studs to grind off but there is over 30 holes that would need to be filled plus the unfinished roof seam. Then finding all the proper Diplomat trim.

Ok, thanks for the info guys. I think I’m better off to leave the cap there and try to get a new vinyl top made, I don’t have the space for body work this time of year, too cold!

This color is great on my 1980 Diplomat, highly recommended if you still haven't chosen.  Check out my Diplomat in the showroom.

I finally got around to looking at that. It looks fantastic. It'll still be a coin flip when I eventually get to that point though.  I'm going to get all the mechanicals done first with this thing.

now that I've had time to look, I found a couple threads on it over at FMJ Only

The guy you wanna search for on there is Jeff Rankin

There's a lot of body work under that cap. Studs to grind off and screw holes to fill.

Cool, I would assume it’s the same door just swap the panel for the triangle glass.
Would be great if someone done this already and had some pictures of how to do it and how it looks when finished.

I've seen somebody that's done it once, but for the life of me I can't remember if it was on here or over at FMJBO, or even at Moparts.

I do know you'd have to do the same with the rear doors and their quarter windows too though.
