Update On Cordoba
« on: November 12, 2015, 02:37:05 »

Well, I still have to say I miss my M-Body. I miss those comfy seats that's for sure. The Cordoba is nice and I gotta say I like the torque of the 360 even with the 2.45 gears. I busted my budget this season for sure so no more money after this month lol. Anyways, here is some pictures of the car since I did post in another thread.

It's a 79 Cordoba that originally came with a K-Code 360 2bbl, A999 transmission, 8.25 rear with 2.45 gears. The prior owner(s) ditched the Lean Burn. Switched the 2bbl to a 4bbl from another Cordoba. It has an a Performer intake with an earlier Thermoquad, 340 spec camshaft in it, dual exhaust with no converters, and some other updates. Runs and drives decent. I need to get the A/C fixed. It has had one repaint but, appears solid. Anyways, here is some pictures I took yesterday.

The 60/40 bench seat in the Cordoba is as comfortable as the M body but the bucket seats weren't as comfortable.  The J body Cordoba got better bucket seats.

Sure looks great!

Great Color Combo!
Very nice looking car.
Nice Score. :thumb:

I'm not a big fan of after market wheels,
but those look pretty damn good on that car.

I had no idea you had one of those. I love the color combo. Any pictures of the interior?

Thank you all. Yes, thank you it's actually a cross between a Ford Elite and Grand Prix Patrick lol. Anyways, I have some pictures of the interior. In fact, I some of the original material for the seats that prior owner bought years ago. Mark, this car has buckets with a jump seat in the middle. It also has power windows, tilt, cruise, and A/C to name a few. It also has a rear defroster and 100 amp alternator. The wheels are Cragar Eliminator 15x7 on 235/60/15 Coopers. I have a set of NOS hubcaps to go with the car along with NOS hubcaps centers.

Glad you got the joke. Just be aware that you may get that at car shows if you take it. I think you got a very nice car for the age.

Those buckets look nice, but the low back buckets (1978 and 1979) weren't as comfortable as the high back ones from the 75-77 Cordoba.  The 80-83 Cordoba buckets were more comfortable.  But man, the 60/40 seats were the way to get the most comfort.  But buckets look much cooler.

Need the seat adjustment option.
A P/S F/A is more comfortable than a non.

I agree with the Fifth seats still being more comfortable. The next would be the ones is a 77 Newport I test drove. Anyways, I have some ideas for the seats. I have been using Lexol to condition them with. Now, the car is tucked away for winter. We got 5 inches of the white stuff yesterday.

Hello, I still have the car but, not sure what to do. I'll be honest and say I've driven this thing maybe 500 miles since I've bought it haha. Not sure if I want to sell it though but, really thought about it keeping it since I have put some work into it. I don't have the Cragars on it and went to the hubcaps for now.

If your car doesn't give you a serious headache, keep it.
