A Sad message
« on: August 05, 2019, 07:10:39 »

Iam very sorry to report that Ice passed away quietly at home; a few weeks ago. Although I did not know him very well; I live about one hour from his London Ontario home and we would share our interest of  our Diplomats and Fifth Aves. I know he would want us to carry on with our M body hobby. Rest In Peace Ice.

Thanks for letting everyone know. We figured it out after seeing some of his stuff up for sale. Too bad.
I used to talk to him a fair bit, he quieted down about the time he stopped posting here.

Damn...I've been out of it for a while...but [Edited by Farley's]...that sucks man!!!

I met up several times with him for a couple of beers, last time my wife and I met him just outside of London (St.Thomas actually). We had a great time! Mike and I originally met when I bought a '81 LeBaron coupe parts car from him what seems like eons ago...heck, at least 15 yrs ago now.

When he disapeared from here I reached out to him directly but never got a response, I wonder if he was already having bigger health problems by that time.

God, I'll miss the guy, he was such a genuine and real Mopar fan and a fine human being.

I realized after a year or two of being a member here that he was a very genuine person, and an absolute Mopar fanatic, and never wavered in his lover the M body cars. He seemed to just want peace in his life. Seemed to catch some bad breaks, and certainly one very bad one.

It really is not the same without him here. I can't think of anyone else that could have left here and had a greater effect than Mike.

We miss you buddy.

Hi Dariusz:  I read your posting about ICE.  My brother and I took a bunch of parts off that Lebaron Coupe at your parent's place.  I was going to ask my brother's friend at the Hemi Shop in London to find out what went down but know now.

Captain Caravelle?

Unfortunately the Captain is off all radar scopes.  There were things that went down in his life that some speculated on, but he has rarely surfaced in the M, or F body worlds.  We continue to hope that his course self corrects, and he can come back around one day soon.

I do wish Captain well and hope he is okay. I miss him here as well. Without him and Ice, it just isn't the same.

I spoke to him a while back and he seemed OK. It seems several of these more familiar members moved on and left the forum in a bit of a slum.

Over time our interests, and hobbys evolve.  The Captain was very involved in his music, and perhaps has gone down that path of exploration for a time.
He was not a big wrencher on his cars.  He just enjoyed driving them.  His main goal was to add color to the forum.  After a period of time carrying that ball can get old, and it is time to pass the torch to others to keep these places alive.

A slum indeed lol. For those who have talked to Capn, then you know he has the classic Radio DJ voice!!! I swear the guy could be a great and famous radio DJ lol.
