I've never had any issues when pulling a cable while running. I also didnt know it makes it go to full charge mode. Good info for future tests.

Modern cars with computer systems we don't do that to.

Again, the easiest check of the alternator is a simple VOM. We all have $10 Volt Ohm Meters, don't we?

its not a good practice to get into; especially if you plan on owning a newer fuel injected car; it will fire the ECU's and some cars can have up to 10 on them our cars only have one

I don't like computerized cars anyway but will use a meter next time. My wife drives the new vehicle. I hate messing with wiring.

Sounds good 79, Nice Job!
How many of them FI intakes do you want?
Free + shipping.
I keep the throttle bodies for parts.
but have no use for the intakes.
Converted many roller motors into Carbed trucks.

if you converted TBI engines to carburated how come you keep the TBI gear? and I would go for intakes but there heavy and expensive to ship

Because when a 70s or early 80s needs a engine
the later roller engines are easier to find.
and I drive 2 88 FI vehicles, so thats why I keep the parts.
yeah shipping is always a pain on heavy parts.
I wont scrap them though.
