thanks! I'm just hoping the thing will actually work correctly.  I'm also gonna try to see if I can get a couple of the lights swapped over to match whatever redline the next engine will be.

Time for a very minor update!

in another thread, I shared that I got the FFI Subframe bushings in, finally.

AND, I finally got ahold of the most '80's tach ever. The Sunpro Power Curve Tach!

I'm working on ideas for the rest of the gauge cluster surround because I wanna go digital with it like the other Mopar cars had as options during that era.

oh, and the car finally hit 60,000 miles. Then the original carb decided to call it a life right before I went back on the road yesterday. Time to finally get that de-Lean Burn process underway. Hope I'll have more....complete progress next time I update this thread.-Anthony

Hi Darius:  If you could find the name of the material, that would be very helpful.

That USA website that DobaMark posted  is impressive although its hard to say for sure about the colours.

Last time we spoke you had two coupes.  Any more show up on your doorstep?

Those who have found me on other forms of social media are somewhat up to date, but here's a quick synopsis.

Sold the Dodge to Dad, had full intentions of knocking out a bunch of things that'd been pushed aside over the years. Got about half of em done and ended up finding a 69 442 that I couldn't pass up. Original numbers car, 1 of less than 2500 built, only 31k on the click, and has been in a barn since '08.

Been working on it pretty much any chance I get, trying to get everything replaced and ready to roll after being left to rot. As of now, all were still waiting on is the engine/trans, and a couple little things.

That being said, it's looking like I'm gonna need to find a storage option as I may be ending up with my old AHB back. Dad "bought" it from me (hasn't paid for it) and has let it sit in the yard ever since. He only recently told me he doesn't have time nor desire for it, just bought it thinking I'd change my mind. I tried to sell it a few weeks ago, but as anticipated the market is extremely slim since it is pretty much built for summer cruising and the track.

If I end up with it back, cool. If not, I'll still loiter I'm sure.

Oh yee of little faith...there absolutely is a way to bring that shiny chrome feeling back!

Alright, may not be all that easy, but way back when, I restored my lenses for the coupe. I had a complete write-up on this site here, including pics...haven't looked for them now though.

Anyways, if my memory serves me right I used one of these "chrome finish" spray can deals. Have to take a bit of care to avoid any sags, but overall things turns out pretty nice. Made for a pretty "nnnoooo...why meeee????" moment when I was re-installing the lenses back in the housing only to hear that 'pop' sound of plastic cracking somewhere. Well, that somewhere was right in the face of the lense, towards one of the ends, so not all that visible...but it's there.

Plan on spending most of your time masking off the lenses or the housing, and these are some pretty tight lines, so you need to pick up the thin masking tape.

The 360 block that spent the last 10 yrs in my coupe came out of a '74 Cordoba.

Regardless, love the ride, and I absolutely love your wordsmithing!!! What a pleasure to read....

I have the Dealer trim books here, so if you want I can probably dig up the original name for the trim...maybe that'll make it easier to match the factory material to whatever is out there right now?
