Oh yee of little faith...there absolutely is a way to bring that shiny chrome feeling back!

Alright, may not be all that easy, but way back when, I restored my lenses for the coupe. I had a complete write-up on this site here, including pics...haven't looked for them now though.

Anyways, if my memory serves me right I used one of these "chrome finish" spray can deals. Have to take a bit of care to avoid any sags, but overall things turns out pretty nice. Made for a pretty "nnnoooo...why meeee????" moment when I was re-installing the lenses back in the housing only to hear that 'pop' sound of plastic cracking somewhere. Well, that somewhere was right in the face of the lense, towards one of the ends, so not all that visible...but it's there.

Plan on spending most of your time masking off the lenses or the housing, and these are some pretty tight lines, so you need to pick up the thin masking tape.

The 360 block that spent the last 10 yrs in my coupe came out of a '74 Cordoba.

Regardless, love the ride, and I absolutely love your wordsmithing!!! What a pleasure to read....

I have the Dealer trim books here, so if you want I can probably dig up the original name for the trim...maybe that'll make it easier to match the factory material to whatever is out there right now?

I have navy blue bucket seats in my 80 Diplomat coupe.   The seat material is worn and and there are now cracks in the material.

The backs and underlying foam are OK.  The material is that blue crushed type, not sure what it is called.  If you look at the attached photo, these are the types of seats in my car (the photo is not my car - I wish my seats were that good)

Some people have told me that there are some places in the USA that sell the original material.  Does anyone know a business that deals in that stuff?

I had new tires put on and they beat the wheel covers on with a hammer...now they won't stay on :pound:  so we painted the wheels silver. I think they look pretty good
