Interior Colors
« on: May 21, 2014, 19:05:22 »

Ill stick this in GARAGE until Reggie decides to move it over to the LIBRARY section:
If you are looking to re-dye your interiors, I have worked through what I consider BEST choices for off the shelf interior paint colors.
This is what I have come up with:
The lighter shade of Blue= DupliColor Medium Blue.
The Darker shade of Blue= SEM SHADOW Blue. There were a couple others but I thought this was closest.
Late Model Brown 88/89= SEM BlueBird Brown. I just went through about a 1/2 dozen colors trying to narrow this one down.
Earlier Model Tan = DupliColor Medium Beige. I came across this one by accident while experimenting with the Brown on a Tan seat out of my 82. This one will get you pretty close.

I hope this helps some one in the longrun. It gets a little pricey trying to find one but it is cheaper than getting a professional re-dye. I wished I had gone this route with my 76 instead of a Professional. That color really didnt match exact and I could not get ahold of him for touch-ups as he promised. Should have just gone with SEMS Pacific Blue on that one. Best of Luck!

on my 5th ave when I put the conti kit on, I had to dye the vinyl to match the roof, and the landau black was pretty much a dead on match

That's some good info. I love the SEM paints. I used Blue Mist on the Aspen, Shadow Blue on my '88, and Camel on my '89 (and '85 that I used to have). Stuff looks great and holds up very well.
