WTB 9800 Thermoquad
« on: November 13, 2021, 11:22:08 »

Hello everyone,

I was hoping to find a Carter 9800 series Thermoquad with the GM linkage from one of the forum members. Ant help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brent

You may have better luck finding the Quadra Jet seeing as it is a GM product. Even the M bodies were switched over to it in lieu of the TQ.

We're you reading lates edition of Mopar Action in which Ehrenberg had a write up on the Thermoquad? He definitely sang it's praises. I was on the fence as to buying a TQ for my '79 Power Wagon or going with a Demon but once I read that article I bought a TQ from Ebay. I picked from the list he recommended. It was perfectly readable on another site but hard to see numbers here. I can pm if you want.

Thanks for your posts guys and sorry for not getting back here to comment sooner.

I currently run a quadrajet and wanted to try the Carter Thermoquad for some of the advantages these carbs have. The cooler fuel being one of the main ones and also the roar they have once the vacuum secondaries are fully open.

ism360 I will PM you shortly thanks for taking the time to add the attachment. My eyes are old though and have trouble making the numbers out.

Wolfmandip; thanks for the link I will message the guy.

MIns a 73 340 one. I think 6319 but it's been years since I bought it.
