Hey guys, I know there is a difference between appraised value and actual value at the time of sale, but just to let you know; my insurance company required that I obtain appraisals on all of my classic cars.  I told the appraiser that I felt my 88 Diplomat SE, 42K on the clock and no salt ever, was worth about $6K.  The actual appraisal came back at $9'800.  He showed me seven different cars, Salon and SE, non-AHB, that made up the appraisal he gave mine.  Malaise era cars are really starting to take off in value.  Most will never hit the levels of a '70 'cuda or a 57 Bel Air, but they are rising in value.  My Americans and Jeeps from the 80's have skyrocketed in value.
