Vacuum hose issue 88 Gran Fury

Son has been having trouble with his 1988 Gran Fury . Engine once in a while stalling... He thinks it might be the Vacuum line. An old screw is jammed up in the hose. Seems to have been there for quite a while....

It is possible nothing should be connected there. If you look at he underhood vacuum gauge diagram, is it shown?

If the stalling is recent, it's probably something else. Time for a tune up? time for a carb rebuid?
