Hi guys,
Yes.... I'm still alive. So sorry to hear about Ice. I actually got to meet him and he was really a good guy. I've been a very busy guy. Lady Douchebag (formally Lady Volare) wound up boning some dude she worked with behind my back. I kept the Volare and she kept the potato shaped alcoholic new clown. So there's that.
Covid hasn't affected me too much because I work for myself now and that's going very well.
I didn't leave because I was pissed. I was just dealing with said douchebag and all the hell it caused. I miss all you lunatics and I'll check in when I can.

Captain, I'm so very sorry to hear that you were wronged!
We have missed you so much! You were an absolute necessity to this place. And with the loss of Ice, and you going MIA, it hasn't been the same!
So glad to hear from you and hang in there buddy!
-
I'm also sorry for that, Captain. Its never easy when that happens. I've seen it more that I care to in my line of work.
On a different note, It's great to hear from you again! And we got your back!
I agree with LSM things have been different. I also haven't been posting much but it seems activity has picked up over the past week. Thats good.
-
Holy cow, look at this guy.
Sorry to hear the story man, I can only imagine the kind of mess that created. Glad to hear you seem to be doing alright on the upswing.
Its definitely quieted down here, and over on fmjbodiesonly.com since your hiatus.

Sorry to hear about all that lady drama.
Glad to see you back.

Ditto, it sounds like you certainly got the better end of the deal Captain.
-
I got the Volare and she got the dumpster. It's all good
-
At least she didn't get the gold mine

Glad to hear from you Cap'n.

Thank you for letting us be here to support you. You truly have been missed, as others have said.
Cars, and good guitars are always loyal to those who care for them!

I feel terrible for not being on the forums nearly as much as I used to be. Spending too much time working, then dying, then trying to find a way to fit in for awhile, and now I work from home for a restaurant's call center for 8 pieces of paper an hour. It's something, but I'd rather be driving. Good news I can get on here and other forums more often.
I'm finding so many of the forums I used to post on are either dead or missing. Glad to see Farley still here, and glad most of us are all still kicking.

Good to hear from you occupant. Let's keep things alive here. Dippy.org deserves to stay alive. If for no other reason, in memory of Ice

I will second that sentiment, but I will also add the following: people out there have no idea how much gold is stuck in that 'Tech Library' of ours!!!
I am telling you, that's a massive gold nugget in there...it took us years to amass all of this, hard work, great forum discussions, ahh...them were they good 'ol days!!!

You're so right!!!!

Any way that we could get some of the pictures working again in the Library? When I was last looking for info most of the stuff I was needing is not there, picture-wise.
-
I noticed that too :(
-
Reggie has pictures backed up along with the entire library to keep it living even if it's not here. The problem is when the hosting changed at some point they either disappeared or the the links were all broken.

That is good. VeritcalScopes just redid Allpar and tried to turn all the articles there into forum posts. made it hard to find info that was easily found before.
-
Glad to see you again Captain. Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Very bummed about the loss of Ice as well. He was a great sorce of info. In full agreement with keeping this little escape from reality going for as long as we can, as we seem to be a disappearing breed. I'm looking forward to reading more posts from you guys, and contributing where I can.
The YouTube link from Ism360 inspired me...time for a Jerry Reed marathon.

Lol, heck ya! Amos Moses!
"Now Amos Moses was Cajun, he lived by himself in the swamp. He hunted alligator for a living. He'd just knock them in the head with a stump"
-
"Named him after a man of the cloth, called him Amos Moses"
Ko-ko Joe is a good one too.
"So be carful what you say my friend, about folks you don't understand. Someday you might meet a man like Ko-ko Joe"
Now I got a hankerin' for some "Smoky and the Bandit" clips. YouTube, here I come.

I didn't even know you were missing!

Now the folks around south Louisiana
Said Amos was a hell of a man
He could trap the biggest, the meanest alligator
And he'd just use one hand
That's all he got left 'cause an alligator bit it
Left arm gone clear up to the elbow

I"m also guilty of life getting in the way, used to check in daily; then it got to weekly now it seems I check in about once every 6 months! I've done some intersting projects over the last few years; but my upcoming one is one of interest to the dippy forum, I'm putting a mercedes diesel in a "parts" fifth avenue" I bought for drivetrain and seeing how it works for fuel economy

WOW! It has been awhile! Great to see you back!
-
everybody's dropping back by lately it seems.
-
I still have my 5A. Doesn't get driven much, sits outside under a cover a lot, but still runs.
Sucks that the place is kinda dead now. A lot harder and more expensive to be a mopar guy today than it was 15 years ago.
-
Kind of dead? No one has made a post in 11 days! Let's hear the excuses.
-
been too busy daydreaming and planning out the new K-frame for my car that'll use a bunch of oval-track parts. And saving money.

There's a lot to see on FB marketplace for sure. I also check out fmjbodiesonly but would love to see dippy.org thrive.
