Title: Big time parts haul
Post by: Ice Cold on July 22, 2017, 15:17:56
Took a road trip and ended up with lots of parts.
Guy's dad had cabs in Toronto and drove Caravelles.

Got a 79 Lebaron trunk stuffed with parts.

The gas can is mine.
Not many gas stations on my route there, so a can was insurance.

Lots of stuff in Mopar and Autopar packaging.
Most under the first layer are boxes of packaged parts.

This had to go in the back seat with a blanket.
Nothing special, but a box of assorted new/used headlights, set of horns.

A NOS tail light is nice.
Saw a couple 200k speedometers, there's a new P/S pump, NOS upper control arm.
Just a lot of smalls.

The deal sure sounded like a Ice Cold April 1st.
Guys dad ran Caravelles for Co-Op Cabs and these are left over parts.

Still have to go through all of it.

I'll post pics when I finally get to unloading all if it.
I'm hoping for some rare NOS goodies.
Saw a few when I bought the lot.

Then after unloading and showing off the gold, I'll let people guess the price. :p

I could use one of those front leaf spring perches right about now...
That other pic that you called the front T- bar is the rear leaf spring hanger.
And lsm is right, that other piece with the rod looks like a front sway bar hanger.

Cool stash.

I ended up with a haul like this from an old Jeep dealer years ago.  I thought I was into large treasure, then I determined that the reason that the dealer had all of this stuff was it was stuff that never failed on a Jeep, and it never failed on any of my Jeeps.  I eventually abandoned it in a chicken coup and called myself free of the storage burden. I have not needed any of those items to this day.

Isn't this retirement year for you?

If you truly follow through with moving to the states, you will need a semi to move the warehouse of parts.  Plus I can not wait to hear how you will explain the semi of parts to the border crossing folks
