The Dodge van looks nice, and the big question is, what is poking its headlight into the right side of that same shot?

It's not a Chrysler product, but a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.  The only one of my 6 vehicles that is not a Dodge, Plymouth, or Chrysler.

Not a bad choice for a non-Mopar product.  If I had to have a non-Mopar classic car a Cutlass of that vintage would be on my list along with a 68 Mercury Cougar or a 65 Galaxy 500XL.

The Fifth Ave. project is under way. I have a new rear bumper, gas tank, and leaf spring. Lots of other parts are also being replaced. The Magnum engine is in, but still a long way to go. So far things are going good.

I took the Fifth Ave out for a test drive for the first time tonight with its new Magnum 5.2L and all went well. It may need some tweaking as it seemed to buck slightly at times, but overall ok. Except my inline fuel pump I bought is wicked loud.  Overall it was not too bad to do. The Magnum exhaust manifolds do not fit as the driver’s side one hits the steering box, so I used the Fifth Ave manifolds and a Canadian Y-Pipe. For the check engine light I used the "gate open" light. The power steering bracket is a Ram Van bracket. Truck ones do not fit(hits the battery tray). And you must use a Magnum pump as the mounting holes in the pump are in different spots, which means the Fifth Ave one sits in the Magnum bracket crooked.  I still need to find a radiator shroud from a 1992/3 Dodge truck as the Fifth Ave one is too short. Magnum water pumps are farther back. The wiring took some time, but was not too bad as I like doing that kind of stuff anyway. I used the extra spaces in the main harness connector at the firewall to run wires through, and I used factory wires out of other Fifth Aves so it looks correct. Now I just need to figure out the A/C.

I custom made an EGR pipe using part of the old air injection tube, and part of the Magnum EGR tube, then welded them together.  I plugged up the air injection holes in the manifold with core plugs. This brings me to another point that I discovered, there are two different types of passenger manifolds, both of which have the same part number. Most seem to have U shaped air injection holes, but mine had round holes, and the only difference from the outside is where the slashes cross there is a circle, and it is in a different spot on the two different types of manifolds.  Most have the circle in the center, but mine had it in the second spot to the left. This made it a lot easier to plug up the holes, as it is impossible to put core plugs in u shaped holes. I also drilled a hole in the manifold to connect the air injection part to the exhaust part.

That is cool.
I've never seen the manifold with the oval hole.

It has been running great!! I have about 2800 miles on it now. It has a lot more power from the start off, then does good accelerating too. It still has the stock transmission and rear end in it. I love the better drive ability, and no bogging down when I hit the gas. It gets about 20MPG.  Here is a more current picture.

I actually sold it last September for $3,000. The guy that bought it is trying to sell it for $9,500. He had it listed at $11,000 originally.

I'm up to three now, but the third one does not have a Title, so it yard drives for now.(The one on the right in the front picture)  I got it cheap, as someone put a lot of work into it, could not get it running right, then gave it to someone else without a title. I got it home, cut the cat off and found the cat was plugged up solid. Runs great now and plenty of power. I'm in Massachusetts, so everyting needs a title. I'm up to 10 vehicles now, 9 of which are Dodge, Plymouth, or Chrysler. Always looking for more.
