yes another project

but i think i can make somethin happen with it lol.

heres how my dad got it last year. it was owned by a guy my dad worked with, and the radiator went out on it and it overheated and died at the end of our road, he called my dad and said if you want the truck go get it. we got it and parked it. well i got the idea of buildin a hopper truck out of it and my dad wanted a pair of bucket seats out of my old dart, so i told him if you can get the title for that truck ill trade you, so he asked the dude for the title and got it so i traded, the seats went in his challenger and the truck is now in my possesion

it runs like crap, but runs, and i gotta find a radiator for it. i wanted to put some rims on it to get rid of the ugly steelies (3 of the 4 were ford rims btw :x) so i traded my dad a set of...

aluminum american racing rims that i bought off my buddy

but of course he went and put em on his decrepid (and it actually dont look to bad)

well for them rims, i got a set of mopar rallies, with trim rings and center caps (gotta get the center caps off my old truck yet)

the white behind the grille was buggin me so i pulled the grille and headlight bezels off and sprayed it flat black
before

now

the interiors dirty but i think i can make it look good, my plan is to go all the tan black, paint the original black trim on the dash silver, and put my silver 5th ave seats in it 8)

and i had to put this on it :p

i took this bumper off this blazer, and my plan was to use it as the back bumper on the dak and get clear lenses with red LED bulbs to use as the tail, brake lights, and shave the original taillights, but the blazer bumper is too narrow :(

well i went out today and 3 of the 4 tires were flat  so aired em up and pulled the truck of to the house and used the hose to try and find the leaks, then i decided to scrub a dub dub on the truck with a brillow pad and WOW did it make a difference

and i started workin on the interior today to "make it my own" , still got some work to do but its lookin a lot better then the tan

no pics but the update right now is that the truck is almost in all grey primer. i just gotta do the roof, tailgate, finish the hood, and some spots here and there where i gotta clean some rust before i paint it. as for the interior i still gotta spray the kick panels, sill plates, and change the seat with 5th ave front seats, i may even put the black seat belts outta my old 5th in it since the drivers one if f****** up

wOW. First I was gonna say the tan interior looks pretty good. But then I scrolled down.  :D  I love the air cleaner, that rocks! I had an 89 convertible, really cool trucks! I would highly recommend NOT shaving the taillights, that just looks horrible on anything. I do remember seeing a tricked out Daka on ebay awhile back. I don't remember if it was juiced or what, but it had enough loWrider to make your head spin. I though it was hideous but it did have a ton in it. Oh, and tell your dad he got smoked on this deal, those seats look like crap in the Chally!  :x

haha, ya i thought he shoulda left the fiberglass racing buckets in it but he wanted these in it cuz theyre in really good shape and theyre the same as his originals (which are toast) but i think in the future he's gonna get a new set of vinyl covers to replace the cloth. plus he wasnt doin anything to the truck. he wanted to hack it up n make a trailer outta the box , but i wanna have some fun with it

we picked up the air cleaner lid from a guy that has to scrap all there cars and this was on a trashed dip, so i took it to hang up in the garage, but after i started workin on this i had to put it on  :p
