That's some cool stuff, I wish you luck finding a translator, it'd be sweet to get in touch with that guy. I had trouble in Spanish class in high school so unfortunately I can't help you out lol

I'd love a Dart wagon (also called guayin, vagoneta) 80-81 model, Slant Six, three speed manual on the column, don't care if it has AC or not, preferably with a tan interior, don't care what color outside.  Running/driving but doesn't have to be perfect or pretty.

Alternatively, a 1977-1979 LeBaron wagon would be terrific too.  Probably more likely to be a 360 engine, I don't think they did a lot of 318's in Mexico.  Something about cars sold there had to have engines made there.  It's the reason you don't see 4-cylinder Chevy Celebritys, because they made the 2.8 60 degree V6 down there but not the 2.5 Duke.  But damn near every Celebrity you see down there has a manual transmission, even the sedans.  4-speed with shift collar through 1986 models, 5-speed from 1987-1989.

I'd also love one of those 5-speed 87-89 Celebrity sedans.

For conversion I use xe.com, and right now it takes 19831 pesos to make $1000.  So a 125,000 peso vehicle is like $6300.  That's NOT a bad price.

Make sure to check Dodge Magnum and Dart along with the usual MFJ badges.

I wonder because the engines are a EPA thing, can I bring rollers up?

So, Mexico only has 3 Chrysler dealers and one owner.

Now I'm thinking the one owner might have a parts warehouse other than Chryslers warehouse.

81 Magnum factory 360.
I know because the engine is not EPA approved, can't bring the car over the border.
But if the engine is pulled, can I bring back a roller?
Those side window scallops are another thing.
Are there some in a warehouse somewhere?
Is there a bunch of dash face plates, glove box doors around?
Trim?
They had 200K speedos, so any NOS ones?

IronBrick-
Things have been changing the more I look in Mexico.
First, I was going to go down there, but realized with no Spanish or navy seal training, maybe not a good idea.

I do have some shipping through Keypoint carriers, so it's possible to get a load or container.
Just have to find where the parts are.

I had my guy try some Mexican wreckers, and they had some stuff, but looked real junk.
Interior baked, dents all over.

Now I have to try the Chrysler dealer, but I dunno if he always owned all the Chrysler dealers and is the only post Fiat era.

When I lived in Atlanta, you'd see trucks come in with Mexico plates on them. Several guys would swarm the pull your part junkyards grabbing 80s and early 90s sheetmetal, wheels, that kind of stuff. Maybe some mechanical stuff. Then they'd pile the trucks full of parts and heard back to Mexico.
That makes me think there probably aren't loads of parts in Mexico if they are coming to the US for all that stuff.

They do that here too on Jeep Cherokees.
It looks like a bunch of ants devouring a sugar cube.
I have also seen cars pulling damaged cars in a long caravan back across the border.

Before the Mexican coming up stories recently posted, I was wondering how many got sold down there.
Early 80's was really the beginning of the USA factories, so back then they where more expensive than say a VW, back when they where even poorer.

I had a dream of finding a bunch of dash plates, rear moldings and whatever was good.
