I've seen M-bodies that had hit deer. mostly it destroys the header panel or bends/busts the radiator, but most cars would still be ok to drive, about two drove to the junkyard with patched up radiators. :D try that with a new car! that's where old boxy cars work better. that curved rounded low-set hood on a new car is more likely to have the poor creature crash through the windshield and do more damage in it's last moments of panic before it dies than one who simply crashes into the grille like a bug and dies as quickly.

Of course if you're driving over 80 in areas known to have deer, than the safety of boxy old cars vs. new cars bets are off.
