I was installing the headers on my Charger with the car jacked up on the drivers side. I dropped one of the header bolts and spent HOURS trying to find it. I looked everywhere...the floor, on the steering box, where the tubes run together at the collector, literally everywhere. I said screw it and went to let the jack down and it wouldn't drop. It had landed in the floor jack and wedged it. Stuff like that pisses me off to no end.

This ALMOST sounds like my luck. Only, we would have spent an hour or so looking for the bolt, then another hour trying to find a new one at the local parts store/hardware store/tsc/Fastenal, only to finally find one that we think is close, then get back and realize it isn't right. Then we'd go out and pull another bolt, match it up at the hardware store, fight putting one or both in..THEN we would get to the part where we let the jack down and find it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, although I probably am going crazy crazy. I forgot about Murphy I don't know how because he thinks my residence is his favorite pub.

You would think they'd have figured out what makes headliners droop and CHANGE something, but no.  The same droopy headliner in a 1980 Buick Electra is the same way you see headliners droop on say, the 2005 Impala I towed last week.  Even the imports have the same problem.  Nissan Altimas and Toyota Camrys even up to like 2006 even have this problem.  You'll see some imports with vinyl headliners and it's not so bad.  But the cloth ones, it is difficult to keep them up and certainly no way it'll happen with rolled down windows, smoking, big Texas hair, or kids in the car.

It's kinda tough, because they use such thin material that they have to bond it to urethane.  And it's the urethane that breaks down.  If they used a heavier cloth it might be possible to bond it directly to the backer.

Haven't you seen mechanical knomes?
Little guys, funny hats.
There was 8 bolts and now there is 7. :pound:

The 5 min job takes an hr or more, but the big one goes smooth. :hmm:
Sometimes they help, but mostly they like laughing at you. :p
