I recently acquired 2 Gran Fury's. One is a 1984 AHB and the other is a 1987 civvie. I bought them from a friend $900.

I believe they played small parts in 2 movies as well. I spotted then in Rolling Kansas but haven't seen it in The Life of David Gale.

 They are kinda rough but not too bad. I'm hoping to restore the AHB to Nevada Highway Patrol specs. Where it started.

That is cool- the dark colors are complimentary to these car's lines in my opinion

I am disapointed to find that my police package does NOT have a sure grip differential.

I've always been a stickler for keeping it factory...but i've been considering it swapping it. I assume i have to swap the whole axle?  how much does a 8.25 Suregrip run these days?


i was just crushed when i grabbed the rear tire and spun it and the other tire spun the opposite direction...lol

I found one in a 5th Ave...I just popped the axle apart and pulled the center out, luckily it wasn't a 2.24 rear end.

Does Mopar still make oil filters that will our M bodies, specifically for the police HD 5.2 4bbl? i have a part number but they seem to be far a few between. I was wondering if there was a more current part number?


The old part number i have is 3549957 or (L-19)

Awesome thanks Captain, I assume I can get those from the Stealership? i'll also go ahead and get some Mopar oil and antifreeze....i'm gonna keep it OEM as much as possible.

I get them at my local stealership.
Good idea to call ahead.
They order them in just for me.
Not likely they'll have them in stock.
