Project Updates - Where are you at?
« on: January 05, 2008, 18:06:57 »

O.K. Everyone, time to update us on your projects (With pictures if possible).

What are you trying to accomplish with it?  Where are you at with it? What were recent jobs finished, whats next ETC and a recent photo of the car or work getting done to it.

I'm still working on the imperial, got the trans service done, now it just needs front brakes and a wash/wax to be perfect.  The 89 Gran Fury still sits next to the shop (hanging out with my 89 Horizon, I told my dad I was going to work on the whole Plymouth line for 89... :D ) and our 95 Plymouth voyager project.  Still working on the title, metro north is no help...

well my 5th is still sittin under a foot of snow or more. last thing i did to it was put frame connectors in and the next thing thats gonna be done is installing hydralic suspension this spring

then theres the dart :hmm: that needs a roof, cowl, trunk floor, both 1/4 panels, left front floor patch. luckily i already got a roof and everything else BUT the 1/4s and left front floor patch. ill make my own trunk floor (flat,no spare tire well), and ill make frame connectors and lowride that like my 5th

Farley sits in covered storage in Nisswa Minnesota, with his newly-installed 4bbl 318, under the care of our very own Kevin Zell.

Farley is set to be evaluated by shops near his location to determine the expense and viability of getting treatment to remove his cancer.

Please keep your fingers crossed for a good prognosis.

Perhaps Kevin will chime in for a more detailed update.

Brick still takes me back and forth to work everyday. After the baby arrives in May, I'm gonna go for a new Hemi swap.

I haven't done a whole lot, but I did redo my ignition wiring.

Before: House wire and zip ties.

After: Car wire, integration with the wiring harness, and 95% zip tie reduction.

Poor ole Rough my 1985 sits still with no progress (i'm broke) with the whole front of the engine taken apart to access timing chain. no tranny fluid, no guages, no dash trim (his is there, but i removed it since it's too far gone to fix), basically he's a big mess...he's going to run though if i have to tie him to two rubber bands and shoot him there myself!

Forgot about the Horizon.  Heres a taste of the progress on it...

GLHT Hood with scoop swapped on.  Composite headlights with super-blue headlights swapped in.  Brush guard and comically big fog lights installed,  Still to come: GLHT Air Dam/Fog Lights and flat black paint with off-set racing stripe (And maybe, just maybe, a Goofy number on the hood.  :p

As of right now the butt end of the car is in the air with the axles and pig removed.  Going to take them into a the ring and pinion shop on Tuesday to have them check the pig and press new bearing on the axles.

Well, the 'Hammer is sitting in the storage lot on Lewis right now, with the fender and hood trying to become one, the irritating starter issue, the JB-welded freeze plug, the still-stripped interior, and stuck-on interior lighting. Since learning about the parts car finally becoming mine, most of that list is gonna be taken care of. I'm seriously tossing around a 100% interior swap, converting it from dk. blue to tan, headers, machining the heads (if saveable, that has yet to be determined..), full pipes with mufflers, regular maintenance on the trans and rear( this will happen), and new shocks. I'm also starting to sketch out a grille-replacement a'la Bobbo, but it'll be close black mesh with the chrome trim on top, matching lens covers, and an older "Dodge" script in the front/right (as viewed) corner, unless I get lucky enough to *ahem* acquire one of these gigantic Pentastars off the Dodge/Fargo/DeSoto dump trucks running around here-if that is the case, it'll have a Pentastar in the center about the size of the fuel cap door, maybe a little bit bigger. I would really like to get all the weatherstripping redone, too, but that's probably pushing my car budget for the next five years as it is...

This is the truck, but it has the new Aksam logo. The pentastar on the older ones is about the same size.

I got a big Crystal Pentastar that came from a Chrysler T&C Van that i may try to see if it can be applied to my 1984. the old one had tiny cracks and dullness and it was too tiny.
