-33 with windchill isn't the same as real -33.

Talk to my car about that.
You are right but the wind does make a difference.
In Sudbury they all park against a wall if they can to shelter the car from the wind.
They say it makes a difference.
Either way straight temp wise we were around -16°F
And my Fifth is indeed parked in a wind tunnel.
It was not a happy camper.....
I'm sure you still had me beat out where you are
But you didn't have to fire up a carbureted Fifth did you?    :p

Love those cold start videos. Next time you have a chance, look up cold start videos for a GM CUCV 6.2L diesel. You'll be scouring eBay for one within minutes. At least I was.

I tried to find that but there were tons of videos under that heading....
Got a link?

Wait, you've been using windchill as temps? In that case it's been -36F and into the 40s around here. I always just go by what the real thermometer says.
Today is warmed but a bit but haven't been out yet.

Yeah...I was saying this morning it was -33°F with the wind chill...actual temp was around -17°F
So you were 3-7°F colder than us.
Going by the norms for us that's arctic.
Out east of here you guy's are always colder but we almost had you today.
We even smoked Winnipeg for cold this morning.

WHADDAYA MEAN YOU HAVEN'T BEEN OUT YET???!!!
I've been frozen at least three times today and about to do it again.

Best retort ever.

We're headed for Canadian weather here in central Ohio.  Monday night and Tuesday we should see -12 F and wind chills in the -30s and -40s.  These people aren't prepared for this stuff.  I've got serious layering going on and it hasn't even dropped below freezing yet.  I probably look like a tourist.  Except I'm in a tow truck.  Jump starts galore around here and it's not even cold yet.

Got the lawn chairs out....
30° here.....polar bears are panting.
Still getting snow though.
And we're supposed to get arctic here again.
Nothing like Winterpeg though.
-23°F there with a wind chill of -45°F.

yeah -26C was one of our coldest days, mind you we also had 90Km/h winds too so that was an inside day!

As I've said before...maritime cold is very different.
Cuts right through you.
