My Canadian '85 Caravelle AHB
« on: September 07, 2017, 08:19:02 »

New member, A friend put me onto this forum, I just purchased a 1985 Plymouth Caravelle AHB that was a City of Windsor police cruiser, retired in 1989, and last on the road in 1999, it has been in a barn/shed the last 18 years.

Nothing too special, but fully documented, was car #591 and was a marked unit, 318-2 Barrel on propane, all the propane stuff will be going and a 318 4 barrel intake and thermoquad will be going in its place along with the elimination of lean burn.

Saw the add for it, but didn't pop due to lack of room.

I answered back at the other M related board.
 Kijiji ad, near Lakeview.
 Did he go under $350?
Does it have a 8.25 rear?

Reply
That's correct. Same car, it's a full AHB package, so yes 8.25 with 11x2.5 drums. I paid the $350 and drove 5 hours each way in a torrential down pour to get it.

Cool! It looks like it has the wrong rims but even as a parts car its worth it at that price. Even better when they are actually usable or realistically repairable.
