Thanks guys, that's perfect! so, I'm looking for '67 A or B headers then? for the 340 I'm assuming.

Sort of an off the top of my head guess here, but to avoid the incredible prices out there, is there a chance you could ship to someone else's place and have them re-ship to you? What about taking a little time to find something on eBag or used/for_sale listings?

I don't know anyone well enough out of state, but I am doing those other things tjough. Nothing reasonable has turned up just yet.

Glad to hear you don't get smog checked.  I read stories about California and how they go over the car from top to bottom and every part has to be CARB certified.  Look at the listings at parts sites like Rockauto and they say that their smog stuff is not legal in CA.

Alot of the time it's worse than that. I've had cars fail even with CARB stuff on them. Basicly, the unwritten law is don't modify your car. I had a '90 miata that got GP'd with only a cone filter.
