...and the question is: is the glass different (shape wise)...I'm thinking YES...need confirmation please.

My '80 & '81 parts books call out:

1) clear: 4136144-5

2) tinted: 4136146-7

And the reason why I'm asking is that somehow, someway, I think I managed to toss a '79 tinted glass into the pass side door, while my driver side appears to be '80...subsequently the roof-rail weatherstrip doesn't quite work...LOL...it's the F-body repro piece, and in as-is shape it is about 3" too long, took care of that with a little snip and re-glue...but unfortunately try as I may, re-adjusting the glass multiple times I still can't close up the gap at the back side of the glass where it turns from the roof towards the door. Since I'm having way too much gap between the glass edge and the A-pillar leg down (I suppose in a 4dr that would be the B-pillar???) I think I had the wrong glass in.

I will probably be able to do the driver side within the next week so that will most definitely give me the answer I'm looking for...but if I did actually manage to somehow use the wrong glass it's probably because the other stuff I had was scratched up...so I best figure out if a switch back to clear glass is in order...ha ha...just when I thought I finally had it all 'buttoned up'...

I grabbed that piece of glass for a member over in Europe a couple of years ago and remember it being different.  Don't quote me on that though.

Alright you guys, so I did a compare to my '81 coupe, here is how the DOT numbers break down:

'80 project car
==========
DRIVER = DOT 21CC M56-T AS21
PASS = DOT 21CC M56-T AS2119 (last 2 characters are a bit unsure)

'81
==
DRIVER = DOT 21CC M55 AS2 50
PASS = DOT 21CC M55 AS2 50

So I'm guessing that whatever is wrong in my project may not quite be a side to side difference judging by the DOT numbers. They appear to be almost the same...which leaves me with: door frame difference, as both the doors came off of different parts cars...LOL...holy [Edited by Farley's]!!!

OK....maybe this is that time when being anal is just counter-productive...as my buddy pointed out the other day: "...like you're ever going to drive that thing with windows up..."....hmmm....

Next video? Umm...definitely spring/summer time...but that video I want to be a nice walk-about, a few good minutes to highlight the work , etc, etc...

In the meantime, I'm happy to report that once again I can confirm that taking entirely too long to finish a project can make you forget things!!! Specifically, the glass itself is attached to the metal adjuster bracket with 3 studs...but where they attached to the said bracket you actually have a pretty good amount of adjustments. All 3 locations are a square/rectangle holes, and they give almost a full 1" of play/adjustability. As it happens, I have the window moved completely to the front of the mounting holes...which means, that it is pushed forward too far and therefore, given the manufacturing tolerances that Mopar was known for in early '80s I should really re-adjust the window glass itself now that I actually have the weatherstrip in place.

Why oh why did I forget that??? I don't know...but duh...what a move on my part....grrh... So...I think I can handle this w/o shuffling the glass around...I will play with the adjustment and that should give me enough room. Once I'm back home I'll post a few pics of how it's looking right now...
