Choking issue

hey guys, finished the change to he carter BBD non feedback carb. Problem is, he little choke arm that comes up out of he manifold is too long to hook into the carter.


Any ideas?

Or get a choke spring for a year that used a Carter carb.

Getting a slight stumble at take off through half throttle. If I pump it slightly it comes out of it and takes off.

Timing might be off, or accelerator pump might be defective, or pump arm might be adjustable.  I haven't looked at a bbd for years and years, so don't remember.

Timed it with a light, so that should be good....not sure though.


I bought he carb new off eBay, so I'm unsure of its build quality. Where and how would I make any adjustments?

I don't remember if the accelerator pump is adjustable, but it should give a good strong squirt.  The only other adjustments are idle mixture, idle speed, and fast idle speed, and those won't help a stumble.
