The weather people are just shilling air time right now.

There's no one to be scared of right now in the news, so this will do.
Stockpiling supplies helps the economy too.

Last I saw the hurricane was downgraded....so that changes all the weather models.

My greatest weather person rant, was driving down the road, pouring rain, high wipers almost useless and on the radio was the weather.
'Sunny today, no chance of rain'

Yeah, I love that....
The guy on the radio says "Right now, a mix of sun and cloud"
Meanwhile it's pounding rain out.
Don't these guys look out the window?

The 78 Lebaron and the Reliant Wagon are in the garage with all the lawn furniture, the Imperial and Aries coupe will survive in the driveway, the convertible, other imperial and baby lebaron are all parked outside at various other locations.  We'll see what happens.

My area is in the bullseye cone according to the predictions right now.  Looks like lots and lots of rain, and strong winds for a few days.  I have prepared as best I can.  I got non-cooking foods and plenty of water, and other stuff.  Batteries, etc.  All I can do.  My job (the Fed Gov't) is closed tomorrow so I don't have to go anywhere.  I'll be online from time to time, that is as long as I have power.  Went through something similar with that Derecho that we had 4 months ago, but it was 90-100 degrees at that time.  Almost 4 days without power in 90 degree heat, was not fun.  At least it will be quite a bit cooler this time.  Its just raining right now with little wind.  Should be interesting.  Opening up the bottle of wine and riding it out!

Up here in NJ so far it's just pretty gusty wind, still waiting on rain to start.

Been raining off and on since Friday here.
The real rain is supposed to be showing up soon.
Lots of rain, lots of wind is what they're calling for.

I'm sure there are places south of us that are taking a pretty good thrashing
But here in ol' T.O., unless it takes a hard right I'd say we're looking at gusts up to 60 mph
And a fair bit of rain.
But of course the panic is on!
Already got texts from neighbours saying I should stock up on food and water.
Really??
Must be a slow news week up here cause they're selling it big time.
All precautions of course.
If it goes beyond a heavy rain storm I'll be surprised.
